A History of Sexuality

the person in uniform
decides
about people’s bodies
                one on one
this person cares
whether or not you’re a—

                disrupt
the hidden part
of the story
                who deserves

then it gets scientific

                degenerate glitter
you call me

how can you more clearly
                do justice

to what extent does she—
or are we okay with this
                footnoting
okay
                to advance
a political agenda
are we okay
                 just footnoting
this avenue
I don’t know
I hate generalizations

to me, it’s the only way
                it could end

                okay

some injustices
                have compelled me
                to wonder if fewer roses
demand less police

                if I am this, then
you’re a site of contest
we have [a clue/an ache]
                in yr insistence on knowledge

once we straighten up—

I can’t have
                bifurcation inside
who’s in?
                I’ll be right back

okay
            this next line
is the one that really gets me

I just disagree
